CloudFlare Security Issue

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

www.fuelrats.com uses a third party service known as CloudFlare to improve load times and prevent denial-of-service attacks. It has come to light that a serious flaw exists within CloudFlare’s infrastructure that has caused personal information to be leaked across thousands of websites. The Fuel Rats uses Cloudflare to a limited exstent and the only known affected area is the WordPress login on www.fuelrats.com due to this we have forcefully reset all passwords on the www.fuelrats.com WordPress.

The login system running our rescues (api.fuelrats.com) and our IRC is not affected by CloudFlare however out of an abundance of caution we have invalidated all cookies which means you have to login again even if you had checked the ‘remember me’ box. If you have used the password you use on fuelrats.com on other websites we ask you to immediately reset it by going to https://www.fuelrats.com/reset
